MUJU TAEKWANDO HOLD IN KOREA

2017 WTF World Taekwondo Championships, which holds in Muju, Jeollabuk-do after 100 days, is an international competition holden by Jeollabuk-do after 20 years of hiatus of 1997 Winter Universiade.

Jeollabuk-do hosted an ceremony to celebrate D-100 for World Taekwondo Championships whose slogan is ‘One World, One Taekwondo at Taekwondowon’ at Gwanghwamun Square of Seoul.

300 Taekwondo practitioners including Song Ha-jin, Governor of Jeollabuk-do, and Lee Yeon-taek Co-President of the Organizing Committee had attended for the ceremony. Honorary ambassadors, Oh Hye-ri and Lee Dae-hoon, also attended and celebrated.

On the day, experience booth, exhibition for Taekwondo history and spirit and taekwondo performances held.

Song Ha-jin said, “After 100 days, dreamlike festival of all taekwondo practitioners would hold in Muju Taekwondowon. We will do our utmost effort to make a competition that gives dream and hope to all taekwondo athletes.”

2017 WTF World Taekwondo Championships Muju would hold on June 24~30, and 1900 athletes from 170 countries are expected to participate.
